Dr. Susan Schulz
Founder
Dr. Susan F. Schulz is a distinguished leader and consultant in the postsecondary education sector. As the founder and president of Schulz School Advisors, she has dedicated over 30 years to guiding career schools and colleges through the complexities of licensing, accreditation, and strategic development and mergers. Holding a doctorate in Educational Leadership, Dr. Schulz combines her knowledge with unparalleled industry experience to help educational institutions in the U.S. and internationally achieve their goals. In May 2000 she completed a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Florida Atlantic University. Her dissertation focus was program completion in proprietary schools and was one of the few dissertations that used career schools as a research site. Ashley Wallace, MBA, MPP, M.Ed
President and Chief M&A Advisor
Ashley has successfully navigate the M&A process for large universities and smaller school. He is a former owner of a COE accredited college where he oversaw all facets of operations. Ashley has a background in educational compliance, business development and strategic planning. He was appointed to the North Carolina Board of Proprietary Education by the North Carolina General Assembly, where he served a six-year term. He previously served as Director of Organizational Development at UNC Wilmington. He holds the Masters in Public Policy Studies from Duke University, the Masters in Education from the University of Nebraska, and the Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Dr. James “Jim” Vernon
M&A Advisor
Dr. Jim Vernon is a C-level leader with 40 years of experience in the higher education sector, specializing in the management of schools, colleges, and universities. His career includes numerous senior executive roles:
President: He has experience as a campus president and interim president.
Multi-Campus Leadership: He has served as a senior vice president with oversight for twenty college campuses and as a vice president/managing director for a public company where he led a division of ten colleges.
Academic Leadership: Dr. Vernon has been a vice president for academic affairs at two different universities and has served as a dean for a BS/BA program. He also has significant experience with regional, national, and programmatic accreditors.
Jim holds the MBA from Murray State University and his Ed.D. from Spalding University.
